Factory Reset Devices
On this page you will find information about how and when you can reset the SHCs and the RWE/innogy devices to factory settings. Please also note our information on handling the devices/SHCs after March 1st, 2024: SHCs & Devices in the local SmartHome
Classic SHC
The SHC can be reset to factory settings via the app, or in the following way:
- Unplug the power adapter
- Press and hold the left button below the display. At the same time, plug the mains adapter back into the socket.
- Keep the button pressed until the display shows "RESET". During this time, the LED lights up continuously.
- With "RESET" you can release the button. Wait for the 8-digit PIN to appear.
- The SHC is now reset and can be set up again.
SHC 2.0
The SHC can be reset to factory settings via the app, or in the following way:
- Press and hold the PAIR button for at least 30 seconds. During this time, the LED continues to glow green.
- After you release the button, the LED first goes out and then lights up orange. The SHC boots during this time.
- This process may take several minutes. Please do not disconnect the SHC from the mains.
- As soon as the SHC is operational again, the LED will flash green quickly. The SHC can now be set up again.
innogy/RWE devices
All devices can be reset to factory settings according to the following scheme:
- Unplug device/remove battery
- Most devices have at least one ("setup/reset") button/rotary knob, press and hold
- Reconnect device to power/reinsert battery
- Keep the button pressed for another 10s
- As soon as the LED flashes 5 times, release the button
Flush-mounted devices
- Remove cover
- With pen/object, press and hold "Setup/Reset" button
- Keep the button pressed for about 5s
- As soon as the LED flashes 5 times, release the button
- Reinstall the cover
Wall transmitter
- Remove cover
- In the battery compartment, press and hold the button labeled TA1 (below the word "TOP")
- Keep the button pressed for about 10s
- As soon as the LED flashes 5 times, release the button
Smoke detector with long-life battery
- Press and hold the control button, after 2s the LED flashes orange, continue to hold it
- Once the LED flashes red, release the button
Smoke detector without long-life battery
- Press and hold the button with a small object until you hear a short tone and the LED flashes red
- While the LED is flashing, press the button again and hold it down for about 5 seconds
- As soon as the LED flashes red, yellow and green, release the button
Power Control
- First delete Power Control from the SmartHome software by moving the cursor to the relevant device icon and clicking the Edit icon that is then displayed. Select the Management tab and then click Delete trigger. Power Control can now be reset.
- Use a narrow object (e.g. ballpoint pen) to press the button on the
reading unit beneath the SmartHome symbol and keep it pressed for at least 10 seconds. After 5 seconds, the mode LED and, after 10 seconds, the status LED will light up continuously (if the LED does not light up and battery power mode is used, the batteries are dead and must be replaced). - Release the button. The mode LED and status LED flash for the next three minutes.
- The device has now been reset and can be integrated again via the SmartHome software using search mode. Make sure that you have the encryption code to hand.
- If the device icon remains greyed out after the device has been integrated, press the button again to complete the process.
Power Control (Solar)
- Press and hold the button on the readout unit with a narrow object, e.g. a pen, for at least 10s
- After 5s the mode LED lights up and after 10s the status LED lights up permanently
- Release the button
- The mode LED and the status LED will flash for the next 3min
Siren
- Press and hold the button next to the "Config" label for at least 4s
- The signal light starts flashing red slowly
- Press the button again for at least 4s
- The signal light will then start flashing red faster
- Release the button
Floor heating
- Open the cover. Do not unplug the mains plug from the device or the mains outlet.
- Press the setup/reset button and keep it pressed for at least 10 seconds. The LED will light up continuously during this period.
- After around 10 seconds, the LED will flash five times. Release the button.
- The device has now been reset and can be re-integrated in the software using search mode.
- If the device symbol remains greyed out after the device has been integrated, press the button again to complete the process.
Energy control
- First delete the device from the user software by double-clicking the device icon. Select the Management tab and then click Delete trigger. Energy Control can now be reset.
- Press the button with the SmartHome logo on the reading unit until 2 appears.
- The device has now been reset and can be integrated again in the SmartHome software using the search mode. Make sure that you have the commissioning code to hand.
- If the device icon remains greyed out after the device has been integrated, press the button again to complete the process.
